What would you do if you found out your ex was in a relationship?
His relationships don't last longer than a mento.
You've locked yourself outside and no-one will be home for a few hours, you...?
Break the doorknob off the backdoor. Personal experience.
What do you think when someone kisses you on your forehead?
Who are you and why are you kissing my forehead?
Ever woken up in a bed and forgot how you got there?
I've woken up in a Blockbuster's and forgotten how I got there.
Do you have a box where you keep all your really important things?
I have many boxes of important things because I have no organizational skills whatsoever.
What was the last reason that you cried?
I couldn't open the window. (I'm PMSing)
Are you hiding something from someone?
I snort when I laugh really hard. There. Now everyone knows.
Do you hate the last girl you had a conversation with?
No, i like most people i talk to. If i don't like them, i dont talk to them.
Who did you last pinky promise with?
My cousin Joey. I made him pinky promise that he wouldn't elbow me in the ribs on the way back from the Big E. Lmao.

Homecoming Dance Tribute
As the music starts, I take your hand.
And I'm so lost in your eyes that I can't hear the band
Our bodies are moving, more like one, not two
And as the music goes on, my heart says what to do
It says, “Hold her, and lead her. With you, she is safe
No matter what happens, you’ll remember this day
So don’t loose yourself in her wondrous eyes,
Keep your heart set on hers, your one true prize.”
We swayed on the dance floor, moving beat by beat,
And her eyes were so dazzling, I didn’t notice our feet
As the music continued, our eyes stayed locked
We kept dancing and dancing, losing time on the clock
The night was so perfect; I wished it wouldn’t end
And that maybe, just maybe, we could all just pretend
That we could keep going, lost on the dance floor
And be dancing and moving, always wanting more

A Note From Ryan
Hello again,
What can I say?
I’m on a fucking roll! Or is it role? Nevermind.
Here’s the next thing I want to talk about, something that is almost, if not as important to me as honesty.
And that is sincerity.
To me, being sincere is always, without exception, a good thing. You may be wondering what I mean by sincerity. I’m not talking about what you put at the end of a letter, but rather putting what Father Stew would call "effort" into everything you do. If you do a project without any effort, it’s going to suck. Even if you’re a pro at something, if you didn’t put any effort into that something, then it sucks. Maybe not on the surface, but it‘s still of no significant value. While if you put your blood, sweat, tears and God knows what else into something, then, without exception, it’s a work of art. Even if you were trying to make a meal and ended up burning something, if you put effort into it, it will make it great.
If you hear some of the great bluesmen, R&B and Motown artists like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Robert Johnson, Otis Redding and the Temptations sing, you can hear the sincerity in their voices.
When Robert Johnson is singing “Hell Hound on my Trail”, it sounds like he’s got Cerberus bounding after him, ready to tear his ass apart.
When the Temptations are singing “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg”, you think David Ruffin would be willing to murder a million people if it meant his baby staying with him. And when I first heard Otis Redding sing “Mr. Pitiful”, I genuinely pitied this character Otis had created just for this one song.
All three of these musicians have since died, and although not everybody knows who they were, the impact that they had on modern music is undeniable. The reason: their sincerity and talent inspired and touched all those who heard it, granting them immortality.
But those half-assed acts I see these days like Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus are just in it for the money, and although they seem to be on top of the world now, soon enough they’re gonna end up washed up, messed up, bald-headed, drug addicted and the laughing stock of the rest of the world.
One thing about me is that when I get into something, I really get into it. When it comes to music, for instance, when I like an artist, I get as much of their music I can get my hands on, and it’s always been very rewarding. When I put a name in the “favorite music” list on my profile page, I mean it. I don’t just put it in there for fluff, unlike a lot of people I know.
Or when I get into hobbies. For instance, for the past 2 years, I’ve developed an interest in genealogy (I’ll be the first to admit this is a strange hobby, especially for a non-Mormon).
This wasn’t just figuring out who my great grandparents were, where and when they were born, and a few anecdotes I heard about them from old relatives. No, I’ve since made an extensive family tree that documents my family’s history since my ancestor John Alden sailed on the Mayflower in 1620, all the way up to the present day, and everything in between that.
And in return for the heart, sincerity and “efort” I put into my hobby, I got so much more out of it than I care to say.
When I look at the insincerity that some of my peers and friends have gone after those of the opposite sex, it really pisses me off. People I know will just run around and sleep with people they don’t even care for, trying to “wet their whistle”.
Somebody once said that phrase to me, and I was genuinely disgusted.
When I like a girl, I try to win her over with sincerity and charm, and deeply care about her; I want her to be happy.
Like they say in “Hey Arnold”, I “like her like her”.
Call me a prude, Puritan, loser, virgin, or whatever the Hell you want to, but I prefer “making love” to somebody over “fucking their brains out”. What’s going to be more enjoyable, the night you spent with the girl you love, or the time you got shitfaced and woke up the next morning sleeping next to Shrek?
Anyway, that’s what I have to say concerning the subject of sincerity. I hope I didn’t bore you to tears, I didn’t gravely offend you, and that you’ve learned a little more about me.
Sincerely (haha),
Ryan Eick

Dreams?
Maybe someday you and I
Should get into a car
and go to California
just because it's far.
This place is getting old now,
as are our hearts and minds.
And we need to get away from here
and see what else we find.
Our horizons are bright
so we're leaving this town
and going to the western shoreline
where our hearts are surely bound.
Carefree around a campfire,
you and your guitar,
All troubles back on the east coast,
away from where we are.
And on our way to freedom,
we can finally see the world.
And discover what can happen,
just free will, a boy, and a girl.
We wont stop until we get there,
'cause thats where we're meant to be.
In the blowing wind, where love always wins,
Just you, California, and me.

Subtlety
I don’t think that each cloud
Really has a silver lining
'Cause I’m searching high and low
But for some reason never finding
How after seven days of happy
On the eighth I lose control
And I don’t mean to sound so sappy
But I’ve lost who made me whole.
For 10 minutes straight I’ll fly
Only to be struck down in my prime
I woke up laying on the ground
Bruised head, blood pooled all around.
If there’s a silver lining here,
I’m telling you it’s subtle.
I’m not sure, but from the looks of it
I'll always be in trouble.
I don’t think that a rainbow
Has a pot of gold at the end.
If you think that it’s all hard right now
Just wait until it ends.
Because the day the pain is "over"
and you're thinking you'll be fine
just wait a couple days
The wind will blow you off cloud nine.
Really has a silver lining
'Cause I’m searching high and low
But for some reason never finding
How after seven days of happy
On the eighth I lose control
And I don’t mean to sound so sappy
But I’ve lost who made me whole.

Superior
The most beautiful boy in the world
Fell in love with an average girl.
She just hopes that her love can win
her mind goes places he's never been.
She knows she'll never be fully right
But in her world, her love is her light.
She feels like she always does wrong
But somehow, he's loved her all along.
He lights up when she smiles
but her happiness is rarely shown.
There are some dark places she’s been
but to him, they're all unknown.
He hasn't seen her at her best in awhile
but please boy, don’t let her go.
She's beauty in his eyes,
but when the sun goes down, she cries.
She has problems with her mind.
And she's looking for things she can’t find.
He loves her and she knows it well
Sometimes its hard for her to tell.
He isn’t doing anything wrong
But she can only explain this in a song.
He's more perfect than anyone she's seen
but his feelings just need to be shown.
He had her heart since she was fourteen,
but now’s no time to take it slow.
And no matter how she’s feeling,
he still has to let her know,
that he loves her, and no matter what,
he'll never let her go.

Honestly
It’s one thing to hurt myself
But seeing you in pain
And knowing that I caused it
Is driving me insane
And there’s no way to stop it
Nowhere for us to go
I died inside when you said those words
Honestly, no.
I know you don’t want to lose me
I know that you mean well
But you're too late to catch me
Because long ago, I fell
And my feelings are still kept inside
'Cause they're too deep to show
I lost a piece of myself when you said
Honestly, no.
You really don’t deserve this
You're perfect in every way
But there’s no way I can help this
There’s nothing I can say
Its awful that you're treated this way
You really have to know
Is it okay to live this way?
Honestly, no.
I know it’s really my fault
No matter what you say
And it kills me you get sadder
Every single day
Don’t tell me what I want to hear
Tell me what I need to know
Ill ask again, are you okay?
Honestly, no.
But seeing you in pain
